SUMMER TERM 1
We hope you have all had a relaxing Easter holiday.
News from Spring term.
The school trip to Chessington Zoo was a great success. All staff members were extremely proud of the children's behaviour and their enthusiasm throughout the day.
We saw a range of animals, watched a fantastic sea lion show, participated in an interesting talk on animal habitats and took a ride on the skyline. The weather stayed dry and warm all day for us- we were extremely lucky!
Please see below for photographs.
Look out for photographs of our egg rolling competition and Easter bonnet parade!
OUR NEW TOPIC FOR THIS HALF TERM IS TRANSPORT.
We will be learning about different modes of transport, finding out about different vehicles and their uses & thinking about different journeys.
This week we will be making a pictogram to find out the most popular way of travelling to school. We will also be sorting transport into different types e.g. road, air and rail. Our role play corner will be transformed into an airport for the children to act out the different experiences. More topic information will be revealed soon!
Please can you ensure that ALL items in your child's PE kit are named.
Also, some children are not bringing a water bottle in on a daily basis. Please can you ensure your child has a named water bottle each day to keep them hydrated. Thank you for your support.
