The school has a lovely swimming pool which was refurbished in the spring of 2005. It now measure 15 metres x 6 metres and has a maximum depth of 1.2 metres. The water is heated to a very comfortable temperature. There are two changing huts by the pool for the children to change in.

The school offers on the curriculum, to all children a swimming lesson a week from a qualified instructor, from May to September. The children are taught in small groups of no more than 8 and there is always a second adult by the pool at all times.

Unfortunately the running costs of the pool are not funded by Surrey County Council’s delegated budgets and so to raise the running costs the school asks each child to pay a small voluntary contribution.

The school also offers after-school swimming sessions, where the children can swim for an hour with an adult responsible for their supervision.

The pool can also be hired for private swimming lessons or parties through the school office.
