Welcome back to the Summer Term.
We hope you have all had a fun Easter break.
This term our topic is Australia.
We will be looking at many different aspects of Australia and we will be comparing life in Australia to here in the United Kingdom.
This half term we will be focusing on the different animals in Australia, the lifestyle in Australia, and the countries famous landmarks.
In science we are looking at plants and we have lots of fun art planned, including making boomerangs and didgeridoos.
This term children will be taking part in:
- The Life Bus
- Class Photos and
- Sports Day.
Dates and times will be confirmed on the school newsletters soon.
The children will be continuing to take part in weekly computing lessons and visits to the school library. Please can children bring their library books into school every Tuesday
so they can be renewed or swapped for a new book.
Homework will be set on Fridays to be completed by the following Friday. The children will have weekly spellings to learn in line with the new curriculum and Math's homework will be set online unless told otherwise. Children need to read at home on a regular basis and this needs to be recorded in their reading records and sent back to school on a daily basis.
Please ensure that all school uniform is named including PE kits. PE kits need to come in every Monday and they will be sent home on a Friday. Now the weather is becoming warmer children may want to wear shorts in P.E and they will need trainers, as most activities will be taking part on the field. If girls are wearing tights to school, please can you put a spare pair of socks in their P.E kits for these sessions. It is also very important that all children have a water bottle in school.
We look forward to the sunny term ahead, and we would like to thank you for all your support so far!
Miss Payne and Mrs Crammond.
