to our Year 3 Class page!
A big welcome back to Year 3, we have lots to look forward to in our term of being healthy!
Last term was a really good term for you all, you worked really hard and became much more independent in your learning. We continue to work on this, as well as our individual targets.
This term we are lucky enough to visit a theatre later in the term to see James and the Giant Peach, as part of our work on Roald Dahl. Some of us have already read some of this in guided reading.
Literacy homework will continue to be given out on a Friday and will be due in on a Wednesday. As I'm sure you are aware our Maths homework will be set through the online programme of Mathletics. Any problems with this, please don't hesitate to contact me. Spellings will be given out on a Friday tested every Thursday, so please make sure books are returned for this. Keep practising times tables when in the car or on a walk, we are starting to have tests on our 3,4,5, 10 times tables.Try doing them backwards as well as forwards for extra challenge! Well done to those who read lots last year - please keep this up and write a comment in the books.
PE continues to be on a Monday and Wednesday until further notice. However, we do have extra sports with Woking Community on a Thursday so PE kits must stay in school all week.
House Competitions worked really well last term - the Eagles won the overall term so well done to all of you who earned lots of house points for your house. Keep it up!
Any concerns or problems please do not hesitate to contact me.
Lets have another great term.
