I hope you had an enjoyable Easter break and are looking forward to a sunny summer term.
This term we will be studying the Vikings! We are looking forward to a topic day; including dressing up and a visit from a theatre workshop. Details to follow. We will be looking at who the Vikings were, where they came from, as well as how they lived and their significance in our history.
Our science topics for the term are forces and magnets followed by light and shadows.
English homework will continue to be given out on a Friday and should returned on the following Wednesday. Maths homework this term will continue to be set via Mathletics. Spellings will continue to be given out on a Friday and tested on a Thursday, so please ensure all books are returned. We will be encouraging the children to learn the spellings from the Year 3 wordlist, which has been distributed. Please do not hesitate to ask for another copy. We appreciate your cooperation with this. We would also like to take this opportunity to encourage you to practise any times tables or mental maths with your children to support their progress this term. Please keep up daily reading.
We will be continuing to do PE on a Monday and Tuesday, until the second half of this term, in which the children will take part in swimming. All uniform must be named in order to prevent items from going missing. If items are not named they cannot be returned.
As the weather is getting hotter, it is important to ensure that children have a named water bottle with them for classroom use.
Any problems please do not hesitate to contact us, either directly or through the office.
