YEAR 3 TOUCANS
Dear Parents/ Carers,
Welcome back to the start of the Summer Term!
Our topic this term is The Vikings. We have arranged a topic day on Tuesday 18th June, which includes dressing up, a workshop and fun activities to engage in (Details to follow).
Our Science topics this term are Plants and Light and Dark. In R.E. we will be studying Christianity and Sikhism. In Music we will be learning about reggae music. There will be swimming after half-term, sports day and other exciting events.
Homework will continue with weekly spellings stuck into the reading record books, maths sheets in folders and English/topic homework stuck in the homework books. Please return homework books and maths folders on WEDNESDAYS. It will be given out on Friday. Spelling tests and Mental Maths test will continue to take place on Fridays. Library day is Wednesday. There is no rotation for show and tell this term, so if anybody has something special to bring in then we will show it when we can.
Don’t forget: healthy snacks, a named water bottle and named clothing. P.E. kits need to be kept in school all week. We appreciate all of your support with this.
If you have any questions in the meantime, please get in touch. Also, if you are willing to come in at any time and help, please let me know, because we value any help.
Many thanks, Mrs H Lancashire, Miss Ripley and Mrs Berryman.
