Welcome back! We have had a fantastic Spring term so far! Year 5 are really enjoying learning about the Theatre and William Shakespeare. As part of our topic we went to the Royal Windsor Theatre to watch Horrible Histories. For a lot of us it was our first ever visit to the theatre and we had a fantastic time! We learnt lots as well!
We have been studying the play Macbeth in class and we were very lucky to have the actor Anthony Glenn come in to perform the play to us! He also had some helpers from the audience – can you spot any of them? Have a look at the photos below.
Our school are making a great effort for Comic Relief! We are all dressing up as superheroes for the day and raising money for a ‘Red Nose’ themed sports day. We are also raising money for a special performance from the staff! There will be a cake sale after school so don’t forget to bring your cake.
In year 5, numeracy and topic homework will be sent home on a Thursday and should come back on a Tuesday. PE kits should also be brought to school every Monday and go home on Fridays.
Keep checking the website; we will update you on our activities this term.
