Structure of Governance
What is the role of our valuable Governors?
Governors have general responsibility for the effective management of the school, operating within a framework of national legislation and the policies of the local education authority and Academy Trust.
The Byfleet Local Advisory Committee (LAC) play a key role in shaping the strategic direct of the school and challenging the school leaders to make sure every child 'excels'.
Governors meet regularly and include parents, staff and community representatives. The Governing body is made up of 7 Governors and represents a wide and varied skill set.
Governors meet a minimum of twice a term to ensure the requirements of the Academy Trust are met, however much more time is given for the benefit of the school.
The Chair of Governors is Mr John Dangerfield who can be contacted via the school office on info@byfleet.surrey.sch.uk.
