The children have a Maths and English task set daily and one Topic, Science and Spellings task which can be completed at any point over the week. Please scroll down to find the weekly activities at the bottom of this page.

 

Daily Tasks:

 

As always, please encourage your child to read daily and complete their yellow reading record. If you would like to access stage books online, please go to:

Monday:

Maths: Today we are solving problems involving money.

English: We are continuing with last week’s story – Mission Possible. Today’s lesson is focusing on setting descriptions.

Tuesday:

Maths: Today we are solving problems involving money.

English: Adjectives are key when describing something in a story. Today’s lesson is focusing on using adjectives.

Wednesday:

Maths: Today we are estimating amounts of money.

English: Today we are looking at how to use verbs in a story. Do you remember what they are?

Thursday:

Maths: We have come to the end of our money topic. Please complete Review 9 in your workbooks.

English: Today, we are going to be using inverted commas for speech.

Friday:

Maths: Purple Mash activity set based on money.

Weekly tasks

 

Spellings:

Practise your spellings daily using one of the activities from our school's spelling approach:

Science: 

We are continuing with our topic on ‘Sound’. Think about what we have learned about so far and you may have to do some research of your own!

Topic: 

Two week project: Choose an animal of your choice to research. Use the resources below if you need them. The map can be used to locate where your animal lives or originate from. You can use the fact file template to find out more information or create a leaflet, poster or PowerPoint. Perhaps you could find pieces of art that feature this animal or create some work of your own that have this animal. Have fun! I can’t wait to see them!

RE:

We are going to continue learning about the religion ‘Sikhism’. This week, read about what a Gurdwara is and why it is important to Sikhs. Create a poster about how to show respect when visiting a Gurdwara.

Mindfulness:

Below are some activities for you to reflect on your feelings at this time. Focus on what you are grateful for and how to manage worries and feelings.
