Monday:

Maths: A Purple Mash activity will be set – log in to complete your task.

English: Design your own book cover for your story you wrote last week.  ‚Äč

Can you correct the sentences below? Make sure the sentences have the correct punctuation.

Tuesday:

Maths: 2D and 3D shape hunt! What shapes can you find around your house? Name and describe the shapes you have found. Please find some shape posters below to support your child with this.

Wednesday:

English: Find some examples of riddles below. Have some fun reading the riddles with your family. Can you guess the answers?

Thursday:

Maths: A Purple Mash activity will be set – log in to complete your task.

English: Write a riddle about an animal that can be found in the Arctic or the Antarctica. Remember to start with the hardest clue and to write in the first person (I). Please find some pictures of these animals below.

Friday:

Maths: Practise adding two 2-digit numbers together. You can use resources and jottings of tens and ones to help you if needed. Please begin by answering the questions below.

English: Write a book review about a book you have read this week. Find a template below if needed or you can complete this task on Purple Mash which has been set for you.

Spellings:

Practise your spellings daily using one of the activities from our school's spelling approach: 

Science:

We have been working on the topic of Living Things and their habitats.

Can you be creative and make your own microhabitat or habitat?

What mini-beasts or animals would you find in your microhabitat or habitat?

Topic:

We are currently learning about The Arctic and The Antarctica.

The children have been locating continents on a world map and talking about the climate in different countries.

We learnt that there are seventeen species of penguins.

Can you research another species of penguin?

Remember in class we have learnt how to use PowerPoint. We have learnt how to copy and paste photos from the internet, add text and change the font, font size and colour.
