Firstly I would like to say a huge well done to Year 3 who have settled in really well and have worked so hard this year.
We have had a very busy half term with our topic of the Romans and are now all fully qualified in being able to tie a toga! Everybody was able to create a fantastic set of instructions for this, based on a new school initiative of Talk for Writing. Photos will follow!
Of course we still have lots of work to look forward too and we will start getting ready for our trip on the 19th November to Butser Farm. We also have some other exciting thing planned for this half term, as we start to look at the rise of Boudicca and the Roman invasion of England.
In Maths this half term we are working on improving our mental maths, as well as beginning to look at fractions. In English our focus is playscripts and drama which is a new challenge for the children but I have no doubt they will rise to it.
All new targets have been set, based on the progress that they children have made so far this year, and I am looking forward to sharing and discussing these with you at parents evening.
If you have any concerns please don't hesitate to get in contact - I am always more than happy to discuss any issues.
Enjoy your half term break!
