Welcome back and I hope you had a good half term.
Our topic this half term is Dinosaurs and we are hosting a talk on Fossils and discovery with a real-life dinosaur expert!
In English we will continuing to develop our skills in writing and reading and building up our phonic knowledge. Our non-fiction writing will be a focus and the children will learn all about the different types of dinosaurs and produce their own information books.
In Maths we shall be covering addition, subtraction, division as well as place value. This is all in accordance with the abacus/Hamilton scheme we use.
As ever, please remember to label everything, bring in water bottles, coats and remove earrings on PE days (Fridays), read books with your children and take PE kits home for washing on Friday, and bring them back on Monday. Swimming will be on Mondays.
Show and tell, I am now limiting to Friday afternoon as I will be introducing "target time" and short focussed tasks in that slot every afternoon instead. I will put names up in the window for those who are doing show and tell every week.
Hope you enjoy the summer term!
